Question by BumbleMe: How much would a 2001 BMW E39 M5 cost in New Zealand?
I’m considering exporting my M5 from London to New Zealand when I return home their next year but I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth doing or if I should just buy another one once I arrive.
Thanks for your help!

Well, I live in Australia and the average price of a 2001 e39 is between $ 25 000AU to $ 30 000AU – anymore than 30 grand and you’re being ripped off.
Does it have to be a genuine M5? You could always just buy a 530i with an M5 bodykit – the simpletons will never know the difference.
But if you did want to buy a genuine M5, you’re looking at anywhere between $ 45 000AU to $ 60 000; depending on its current state…..
Anyway, hope it helps.

I drive an M3 and they are a fantastic drive. Any 3 series above 2,500cc is exciting to drive.
